Signature Moments using Motion
The three core principles we defined for the new design system were Alive, Confident and Essential. We choose Alive because for a couple of reasons. It speaks to users connect to DocuSign products as they sign agreements moving through their lives. It also was helped to elevate what motion could bring to the system and product experiences. The bottom three videos are examples showing potential signature moments that could raise delight to users.
The left concept shows user signing and agreement and possibly to add delight to the interaction. The middle concept shows how the swipe interaction could be elevate with the a transition. The right concept shows a user scrolling through a contract and shows a tag elevating to get user attention.
The video below shows an example of how we defined Essential with Alive. A user is navigating a contract and the clause pane is dynamically exposed once the user interacts with the contract and then disappears after use.
